Talk 1: How does a Conversational AI Application Work? (30 min + 10 min Q&A)
Speaker: Mia Chang
Abstract: People have heard about Conversational AI more often in tech conferences. The most common scenarios include chatbots and voice assistant. This talk explores: what does a Conversational AI application exactly look like? And: How does it process the text/audio message?

Bio: Mia has a mathematics and CS background. She works as a data scientist in Berlin. She has had roles as a backend engineer, data consultant, and data scientist, from traditional AI theory to practical industry experience. She is also a Microsoft AI MVP, focus on computer vision and deep learning applications. You may find her speaking in different tech events, delivering workshops, having podcasts on channel 9 or see her dedicating her passion for hackathons. She also published her first co-authored book, Microsoft AI MVP Book, on Amazon Kindle, in 2019. Feel free to reach out to her about data science project/architect or MLOPs topics.

Talk 2: Microsoft AI Platform (30 min + 10 min Q&A)
Speaker: Christian Glessner

Abstract: Christian will give a non-marketing, practical and demo-oriented overview of the Microsoft AI platform. The aim is to help practitioners find the right tool for the right task to make daily work more productive.

Bio: Christian is founder and CEO of Hololux. Christian helps his clients use technologies like Serverless Computing, Mixed Reality and AI. Last year he was honored for the 10th time in a row for receiving the ‚Microsoft MVP Award‘, an Oscar-like accolade conferred by Microsoft.

Talk 3: Automating ML Process at Scale (30 min + 10 min Q&A)
Speaker: Marvin Buss, Zander Matheson

Abstract: Historically, data scientists have been excluded from the software development life cycle because typical software development tools do not support data science scenarios without heavy customization. Our goal is to both give data scientists first-class software development tools and help them move faster and with greater reliability. To do so, we have developed a few tools that we will showcase that follow best practices and industry standard contracts to help Data Scientists speed up training, development and deployment of data science workloads.

Bio (Marvin): Marvin is an Azure Customer Engineer at Microsoft with a focus on ML and Data Science, as well as MLOps and automating Data Science workflows.

Bio (Zander): Zander is a Data Scientist at GitHub, he works with the Data Science Foundations team which is focused on enhancing the experience and building capabilities for Data Scientists using GitHub.
