Dear Community members!

Our Microsoft 365 Zurich User Group is rapidly growing. In this stage we would like to thank you for your participation and „sharing the love“ so far 🙂

Because of this we are now more than happy to announce our next User Group Meeting. It will be happening at the 14th of December 2017 at 6pm at Digicomp Zurich AG.

We are very excited to announce our next stellar speaker lineup.

Session 1: The role of the IT pro in the Office 365 world, by Seb Matthews from London (https://www.linkedin.com/in/sebmatthews/)

Session abstract
With the advent and widespread adoption of Office 365, SharePoint admins are now expected to deliver much more than just feeding and watering a SharePoint farm.
Added functionality of SharePoint Online, the ever marching Modern experience and the raft of other new SharePoint functionality now means that the SharePoint Professional is expected to know much more about much more.
Looking across the Office 365 stack, this session walks you through the nuts and bolts of what it means to be an IT Pro in the brave new world of Office 365. A world where you’ll be expected to be part admin, part developer, part network guru and part Shamen.
During the session we will take a practical look at:
– Sites, Groups, Teams and more
– Flow, PowerApps and PowerBI
– Interaction with Exchange
– Integration with Skype for Business
All through the lens of an IT Pro.

Speaker bio
Professionally, I am a Technology Leader with more than 20 years of experience operating at Enterprise scale.
Over the last decade, I’ve launched several tech companies providing software & services and sit on the board of a number of organisations in an advisory capacity.
To keep my feet wet, I continue provide interim consultancy around Microsoft technologies to partners and customers that are looking to utilize Microsoft technologies in innovative ways at cloud scale.

Session 2: Azure Logic Apps runs your workflows, by David Schneider CTO iSolutions AG.

Tired of workflow issues in SharePoint? Azure Logic Apps, Azure Functions and connectors to 3rd party systems provide a modern, stable and scalable toolset for the implementation of workflows.

Speaker bio
David Schneider (https://www.linkedin.com/in/david-schneider/) is CTO at isolutions AG. He is working in the SharePoint industry since 10 years – first as a developer and then as an architect. Together with his team he implemented over 100 SharePoint projects successfully.

We already thank now to our great speakers and especially to Seb to travel extra from London to our small but nice Helvetic town in the heart of Europe.

Also this time, Digicomp AG will sponsor the venue and an epic SharePint after the sessions. Additionally we will have prizes for a raffle to be won in the end of the sessions.
